Welcome to the DocknDepot

The Dock n Depot is an Alaskan Bed and Breakfast in Seward, nestled at the head of Resurrection Bay. We're conveniently located at Mile 1.5 of the original Iditarod Trail, across from the Alaska Railroad Depot and the Cruise, Tour, and Fishing Docks. Commute by car only 2 1/2 hours from Anchorage on the breathtakingly scenic Seward Highway, or ride the Alaska Railroad through the Chugach Mountains and some of Alaska's most remote areas as you pass through the Chugach National Forest. The train ride from Anchorage to Seward offers rare views deep into the Grandview Valley, an early home of Alaska Nellie, and home to Trail Glacier, Bartlett Glacier, and Spencer Glacier.

Upon arrival at the Dock n Depot, you will experience spectacular mountain views from every window. With 2,200 square feet of guest comfort, including four private bedrooms and a great-room with a large fireplace, we can accommodate everyone from close family to large groups. We also offer the option for group and family retreats or base of operations by scheduling the whole facility. Federal rates for single rooms or catered meeting rooms with free wi-fi are available upon request.

Enjoy a complete home-cooked breakfast after a good night's sleep in comfortable beds. The backyard boasts a barbecue and one of a kind fire buoy, positioned to offer the best views of Mt. Marathon, Phoenix Peak, and the setting sun. Relax, listen to the waterfall, eagle cries, magpie, seagull or raven chatter as they soar overhead.

The Dock n Depot is within walking distance to all of the wonderful shops, museums, stores, restaurants, saloons, the Alaska Sea Life Center, hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, skiing and special events that Seward has to offer.

Relax by the fire buoy or fireplace, play with the chocolate lab Cucu (pronounced Choo-choo) and visit with resident guide and artist Ozzie.
